State Road 67SR 67 cuts a northeast-southwest line across the center and center-south part of the state and is a major highway. It is an original state highway that generally follows the same route as when it was commissioned unlike SR 37 which started as a north-south route from Indianapolis south to Tell City. SR 67 currently ends at US 41 just north of Vincennes, but originally went into Vincennes proper.Three portions of SR 67 near Muncie and Indianapolis are divided, but the majority of the road remains two lanes (much of it modernized, however). The stretch between Muncie and Martinsville is all multilane with some parts up to freeway and expressway standards, though much of it is multiplexed with the likes of I-465, I-69, and US 36. SR 67 is one of the unmarked routes on the Indianapolis I-465 mega multiplex. |
