Illinois State Route 171Illinois route 171 goes from Chicago's northwest side south and southwest to Joliet. From its northern terminus, it passes through several of the near western suburbs before going southwest. Until the late 1990s, it only went as far north as Lyons, a near west Chicago suburb at US 34. The previous designation for route 171 was Illinois 4-A. |
